Until now, the market leader of budget processors was Intel. Pentium processors with 2 cores (and four threads – the same as before Core i3) and quite good built-in graphics HD630 offered a good price/performance ratio. But prices for Intel processors began to rise and the cost of Pentium approached the younger models Ryzen. In turn, AMD introduced its budget processor on the ZEN — Athlon 200GE architecture, which has the same 2 cores and 4 threads with a frequency of 3200 megahertz, built-in graphics Vega 3, was announced at a price of only $ 55. Also, AMD immediately announced that the processor multiplier will be blocked (apparently to limit the specific performance to $ 1).
But it turned out that the processor is overclocking good enough. Overclockers even staged an impromptu competition to get the maximum frequency from the budget GE200.
The results for today are: submitting a record, the result of the Ukrainian overclocker Snegovick – 3954 MHz.
The absolute record holder is the overclocker with the nickname 188_IUHЮ, conquered the frequency of 4097.58 MHz. To obtain such a result, the overclocker set the processor multiplier to X41(base x32*100 MHz = 3200) and the voltage to 1.448 V. The processor was installed into the MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC motherboard.
