At the end of October on the shelves of computer stores we will see 2 new processors from AMD. Both processors belong to the Ryzen Threadripper 2nd generation series. Today are already available 32-nuclear 2990WX and 16-nuclear 2950X. The new processors are designed to complement the existing selection.
Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX(24 cores, 48 threads, the frequency of 3 GHz and 4.2 GHz in turbo mode, 64MB of cache is the third level, the dissipation 250W) will be an intermediate between the existing in the sale 2990WX and 2950X.
Ryzen Threadripper 2920X (12 cores, 24 threads, frequency 3.5 GHz and 4.3 GHz, turbo mode, 32MB cache of the third level, heat dissipation 180W) – should take the entry-level segment of this series.
With no doubt, with the release of new processors, fans of the TR4 platform will be added, taking into account the unambiguous benefits of processors in the price/performance ratio relative to the competitor.
