The company SK Hynix, one of the leaders in the memory market, has developed chips with a capacity of 16 gigabits for the next generation of RAM – DDR5. The developed chips will have a data transfer rate up to 5200 Mb and be on 1-nm technology. The new generation of RAM compared to DDR4, will have a large amount of memory with increased clock speeds. It is assumed that the mass market will get a new standard of memory with the next generation of processors and will be primarily in demand in server solutions. According to forecasts, by 2022-2023 DDR5 will take up to half of the RAM market.
