Yesterday, on October 11, in 11 hours 40 minutes Moscow time, from Baikonur (Kazakhstan) was launched the Russian carrier rocket Soyuz-FG with the space ship Soyuz-MS-10. The crew consisted of two people – a Russian Alexei Ovchinin and an American Nick Hague. It was supposed to be a scheduled flight to the International Space Station.
The launch of the carrier was successful, but on the 119th second of the flight, when separating the side boosters of the first stage from the supporting structure of the second stage, an emergency situation occurred, which led to the death of the rocket and the ship. The crew in the descent module safely returned to Earth, after that a medical examination was released. None of the astronauts got hurt.
