The company Fujitsu closes its last plant for the production of computer equipment in Europe. According to the newspaper «Deutsche Welle», the plant, located in Augsburg, Germany, should be closed in 2020. Due to the closure of the enterprise, 1500 employees will remain without work. The plant is engaged in the production of laptops and data storage systems. Production will be moved to Japan in order to optimize the company’s costs.
The transfer of high-precision production to South-East Asia, where are located a lot of manufacturers of products in the field of high technology, is a global trend now. This greatly simplifies and reduces the cost of logistics component. In the region (for ex., China, Malaysia) , the cost of labor is cheaper than in Europe or the United States.
