Joke on a competitor is a great advertising move and sometimes just a good way to have fun. The high-tech market is not an exception and the most favorite victim of jokers-competitors is Apple. We have become accustomed to the fact that in a playful advertising form Samsung mocks over Apple devices, but the example of the Koreans was followed by another strongest player in the market – Huawei.
This time, people in t-shirts with the label of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer were handing out power banks of the same manufacturer among the people standing in line for the new iPhone. The distributed devices were accompanied by a booklet with the inscription «You’ll need it», alluding to the small amount of batteries in the smartphones of the American company.
It will be interesting to see if Apple will ignore this joke or make its answer to the jokers.
