Valve is actively developing the Steam platform and trying to make it as comfortable as possible for the gamers of all directions. The latest innovation has added the ability for the owners of Linux to run Steam through a number of games designed for Windows. It became possible in the last Steam update for Linux, thankfully to the addition of the emulator Wine or rather its kind of Proton. It is worth noting that so far only 27 games and programs are available for emulation:
